Two notorious threat actors claim to have breached the world-renowned recruitment agency Robert Half this month.
The hackers, known as IntelBroker and Sanggiero, claim they are in possession of over 64 GB of data stolen from the staffing firm on Feb. 8.
According to a listing posted on the infamous Breached Forum, the perps managed to get their hands on a substantial amount of data, including confidential documents, 1,700 repositories of source code, employee documents, customer information, and configuration settings related to services such as OpenAI and Twilio.
The threat actors are offering to sell the stolen data for $20,000 in Monero (XMR) cryptocurrency and have made the bold claim that they still have continuous access to Robert Half’s systems.
“The data is fresh and updated live, as we have access to much,” the hackers said.
Data samples included screenshots from an Excel file containing multiple clients' names and contact information (company names, contact IDs, full names of contact persons, job titles, and phone numbers).
The California-based talent solutions firm has neither confirmed nor denied the breach. The company is known to have suffered a breach in June 2022, when attackers managed to steal the personally identifiable information of over 1,000 customers, including full names, SSNs, and tax information.
