If you are seeing blank circles instead of Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Apple logos in the sign in window of the Bitdefender Security app for Windows Server, follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Cause
This situation is caused by a Windows Server setting that affects how certain web elements are displayed: Internet Explorer (IE) Enhanced Security Configuration. Disabling IE Enhanced Security Configuration allows the server to display web content more flexibly, which includes rendering the social login logos correctly.
Solution – Disable IE Enhanced Security Configuration
1. Open Server Manager
- Click on the Windows Server Start menu.
- Type Server Manager and press Enter to open it.
2. Access Local Server settings
- In the Server Manager dashboard, click on the Local Server option in the left-hand menu.
3. Disable IE Enhanced Security Configuration
- In the Properties section of the Local Server page, click on the On text next to the item labeled IE Enhanced Security Configuration.
- In the configuration window, select the Off option for both Administrators and Users.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the circular arrows at the top of the Server Manager menu to apply the changes. The IE Enhanced Security Configuration should then appear as Off.
4. Restart the Bitdefender Sign In window
- Close and reopen the Bitdefender Account window
- Check if the previously empty circles now displayed correctly the social login icons (Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Apple)
Note: Disabling Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration can expose the server to additional security risks, particularly if it is used for browsing the internet. Ensure that this change aligns with your organization’s security policies.
