How to Use Bitdefender Security for Creators: Activity, Security, Team Members

Channel details

At the top of the Activity tab, you’ll find basic info about your YouTube channel:

• Profile picture, channel name, and handle
• Number of subscribers and uploaded videos count.

 

Live Reports

The Live Reports button provides real-time analytics and insights into your channel’s security status, including:

• Number of monitored videos
• Number of threats blocked
• Number of monitored inboxes
• Emails scanned
• URLs blocked

 

Technologies

Technologies make it easy to explore all Bitdefender Security for Creators features. Press the “Next” button to browse, or click on a feature to learn more:

• Account protection: Constantly monitors your YouTube channel for hacking attempts and sends instant alerts if your account is compromised.
• Recovery assistance: Helps you recover your YouTube account if hacked with a step-by-step guide and direct social media support contacts.
• Phishing protection: Flags dangerous emails from fake sponsors, phishing attacks, etc.
• Hacking prevention: Protects your devices from hackers, password theft, and data breaches.
• Security tips: Recommendations and actions to enhance YouTube account security.
• Team shield: Shared subscription providing extended protection for your entire team.

 

Real-time Security Insights

Scrolling down reveals:

• YouTube Channel Activity: Up-to-date information on your channel’s recent activities.
• Security Recommendations: Security tips to keep your account safe from hackers. For each security recommendation (e.g., “Review 3rd party apps” or “Review recovery options”), click the Review button. You’ll then be taken to a page where you can review or remove items as necessary. After applying the recommended actions, click the “Mark as done” button.
• Critical Alerts and Recovery Guidance: In the event of suspicious activities (e.g., multiple videos deleted or unusual streams and content changes), the Activity tab will issue critical alerts. These alerts guide you through step-by-step actions to swiftly recover and secure your YouTube channel against further hacking attacks.

From the Security tab you can quickly check your security status and view your protected devices, e-mails, and threats blocked in the past. The Security tab is divided into two sections: My Devices and Email Protection.

 

My Devices

In this section, you can:

• Protect new devices: Windows  |  Mac  | Android  |  iOS
• View a summary of cybersecurity threats detected recently.
• View devices currently protected by Bitdefender.

 

Email Protection

In this section, you can view:

• The total emails scanned by Bitdefender Email protection in the last 30 days, with a breakdown of safe and dangerous emails.
• Protected mailboxes.

The Team Members tab allows you to manage the members of your YouTube channel team:

• Send email invitations to protect new team members.
• Remove existing team members.
