This guide explains how to configure Bitdefender SecurePass to autofill passwords on Android devices. To enable this feature, you’ll need to set SecurePass as the default password manager.
Set Bitdefender as Default Android Password Manager
1. Open the Bitdefender SecurePass app on your Android smartphone or tablet.
2. Tap on the More menu.
3. At the top of the screen, tap on Settings.
4. Tap Make this your default password manager.
5. Enable Bitdefender SecurePass in the Autofill service list.
- You can also go to Android Settings > Passwords & accounts (or System > Language & Input > Advanced – for Android 11 and earlier) > Autofill service > enable Bitdefender SecurePass.
6. Tap OK to allow the Bitdefender app to autofill passwords.
Autofill Passwords Using Bitdefender SecurePass for Android
Once Bitdefender SecurePass is set up on Android:
- When you tap on a sign-in field (username or password), an option called Search Bitdefender SecurePass will appear.
- Tap this option to access Bitdefender SecurePass.
- Unlock the vault using biometrics (fingerprint, face recognition) or your Android PIN, pattern, or password.
- Tap the account name displayed in SecurePass and your credentials will automatically be filled in.
With this setup, Bitdefender SecurePass will autofill passwords on Android for a quick and secure sign-in experience.
