Bitdefender announces the end of sale date for Bitdefender Password Manager, a multi-platform service that helps store and organize online passwords.
End-of-Sale Date: November 28, 2024
As of November 28, 2024, Bitdefender Password Manager will no longer be available for new purchases on the official Bitdefender website.
Bitdefender SecurePass, our new password manager built on an open-source solution, will be available for new purchases. In line with our commitment to delivering cutting-edge security solutions, Bitdefender SecurePass offers the latest in password protection, streamlined functionality, and a suite of new tools designed to enhance digital security.
Implications for Existing Users
Customers with active Bitdefender Password Manager subscriptions will continue to receive full product access and support. They may renew their subscriptions as usual, ensuring uninterrupted service.
Migration Path
Bitdefender Password Manager will be replaced by Bitdefender SecurePass. Customers with active, paid subscriptions to Bitdefender Password Manager will be prompted to upgrade to Bitdefender SecurePass at no additional cost. They will be able to claim the free upgrade through the Password Manager section of their Bitdefender Central account. After the upgrade, Bitdefender SecurePass will have the same expiration date as the current Password Manager plan. Subscription renewals will automatically apply to Bitdefender SecurePass following this free upgrade.
