Bitdefender Small Office Security: What do I need to know?

Bitdefender Small Office Security includes four different products:

• Total Security: offers protection for Windows-based PCs and laptops
• Antivirus for Mac: helps you protect devices running macOS.
• Mobile Security for Android: offers security for Android-based smartphones and tablets
• Mobile Security for iOS: protects iOS-based smartphones and tablets.

Subscriptions for this product can cover 5, 10, or 20 devices.

• Centralized administrator password: To prevent users from making changes within the features and settings that may affect the security of the network, the administrator can set a password from the Bitdefender account. This option is available for the Bitdefender Total Security product that can be installed on Windows-based devices.

• Centralized security: The Activity area in Bitdefender Central gives you an overall overview of the connected devices and their protection status. In case threats are identified, the administrator can run a scan on all the affected devices at the same time.

In order to purchase a subscription, follow the steps detailed below:

1. Go to the Bitdefender website and click on Bitdefender Small Office Security in the list of products for home use.

2. Choose the plan you want (one-year, two-year, or three-year) and the number of devices it should cover (5, 10, or 20), then click BUY NOW.

3. Next, click on BILLING AND PAYMENT DETAILS.

4. Fill in all the necessary fields with the required information, then click CONFIRM ORDER.

If you are the administrator of the Bitdefender Small Office Security subscription, you can set a password to prevent your team members from making changes to the product. To configure password protection for the Bitdefender Total Security settings you will have to:

1. Access the Bitdefender Central account that has the active Small Office Security subscription.

2. Go to My Devices on the sidebar, then click ‘Set administrator password’.

3. Toggle ‘Administrator Password’ to the ON position to set up an administrator password for all devices under your account.

4. Type your password in the corresponding field. The password must:

• Be at least 8 characters long
• Include upper-case characters
• Include lowercase characters
• Contain at least one number or symbol

5. Finally, click SET PASSWORD.
