Bitdefender Family Plan Guide

To invite one or more family members to a family plan, the plan manager must follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Bitdefender Central account at https://central.bitdefender.com/

2. Go to the My Subscriptions menu located on the left side of the page.

ⓘ Note: To share a Bitdefender Identity Theft Protection subscription included in a family plan (e.g. Bitdefender Ultimate Security Plus) select Identity Theft Protection instead of My Subscriptions on the left side of the page → click the user icon in the top right corner → Manage Family Protection → Add an Adult Household Member / Add Child Monitoring.

3. Choose Add members in the Bitdefender Family Plan panel.

4. Select who you want to invite and click the Continue button:

• Adult
• Child

5. Enter the email of each person you wish to share your subscription with, then click on Send.

ⓘ Children do not require email, you will instead be guided to create a child profile and install Parental Control on their device.

6. Setup instructions are emailed right away to the new members. Click on Close to exit the confirmation window.

Family members have 24 hours to accept your invite once it’s emailed to them.

• Invited members will appear with the status “Invited”.
• You will see them as “Active” members after they accept the invitation.

Bitdefender plan access is lost for members who are removed. When the plan manager decides to remove a subscription member, the member receives an email notification.

The plan manager can bar adults and teenagers from the family plan in the following way:

1. Log in to your Bitdefender Central account at https://central.bitdefender.com/

2. Go to the My Subscriptions menu located on the left side of the page.

3. Choose Edit members in the Bitdefender Family Plan panel.

4. Click the Remove button to take a member off the family plan.

5. Choose Yes, remove member then click the Finish editing button for the changes to take effect.

When a member is deleted from the family plan, their status is changed to removing until they are completely eliminated.

The plan manager can bar children from the family plan in the following way:

1. Log in to your Bitdefender Central account at https://central.bitdefender.com/

2. Go to the Parental Control menu located on the left side of the page.

3. Click the View details button on the child’s profile.

4. After opening the child’s profile, click Edit profile.

5. Click the Delete profile button and confirm deletion.

Adults will receive an email from [email protected] with the subject Activate Your Bitdefender Family Plan when the plan manager invites them to join the subscription. They have 24 hours to accept an invitation once it’s sent to them.

Here’s how to accept the invite and gain access to the subscription features:

1. Open the email you received titled Accept the invitation to join Bitdefender Family Plan and click the Activate in Central button.

4. Follow the on-screen steps to set up Bitdefender.
