Bitdefender Records Historic Winning Streak at AV-TEST – ‘Outstanding IT Security’

Bitdefender is proud to announce a record-setting round of victories at the latest AV-TEST awards, scoring high marks in rigorous attack scenarios performed by the prestigious lab’s demanding experts.

Throughout 2023, the Germany-based institute scrutinized 14 leading security products from the top cybersecurity vendors around the world. Its experts performed more than 550 tests at regular intervals tracking protection, performance and usability. Products were tested on Windows, Mac and Android.

The lab notes a 20% increase in Windows malware samples in 2023 as threat actors leverage increasingly advanced tools, like AI, to compromise target systems. According to the institute, security solutions are facing increasingly challenging workloads.

‘Best’ awards across the board

Bitdefender not only passed the lab’s demanding malware tests, it did so winning a record of six awards – three in the consumer category and three in the enterprise bracket.

Bitdefender Internet Security earned Best Protection for Windows, Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac won Best MacOS Security, and Bitdefender Mobile Security for Android earned AV-TEST’s Best Android Security.

Our solutions successfully proved their ability to identify and stop threats like zero-day exploits, ransomware, tainted apps on Android, and malware specifically tailored to infect Macs – a feat described by AV-TEST as “outstanding IT security.”
