DDoS Attacks on U.S. Banks Reach End as Anti-Muslim Video Pulled

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighter group said its postponing DDoS attacks against U.S. banks for the time being as a controversial anti-Muslim video was pulled from YouTube.

With over 17 million YouTube hits, the video was deemed offensive to Muslims and fueled large protests across the Middle East. The attacks carried out on Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, CapitalOne, Citibank and others, were deemed by security experts as highly sophisticated and raised serious concerns.

“Well, after a while a little bit of rationalism was seen and the main copy of the insulting movie was removed from YouTube,” the statement noted. “This is a clear indication of progress and establishment of logic instead of obstinacy. This positive move is a humanitarian effort and in line with paying respect to divine religions which has made billions of people love them.”

Warning that they`ll continue to monitor and protest until all other videos are offline, the cyber-terrorist group believes the decision to permanently ban the video was correct. Suspending Operation Ababil until further notice, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighter group made no other claims or requests.

“All of them needed to be removed. Meanwhile, we will control the situation constantly and closely and will adopt the correct decision according to the future circumstances,” the statement said. “The Suspension of Operation Ababil has started today and will continue till further notice.
