It’s such an important issue that I feel compelled to add to the torrent of articles covering the topic. Adobe has finally patched the javascript-execution bug that was (and is) being exploited in the wild for a couple of weeks now.
To their credit, Adobe has released the patch a day earlier than announced initially, yet we’re still seeing hundreds of new reports of infection with viruses that use this exploit (detected by BitDefender as Exploit.PDF-JS.Gen) every hour.
Don’t be a statistic, patch now.
