Notorious hacker IntelBroker says one of his associates has breached the computer systems of Los Angeles International Airport to steal personal information of private plane owners.
The threat actor told Hackread.com that he successfully breached an LAX database, allegedly stealing over 2.5 million records belonging to private plane owners operating at the international airport.
IntelBroker also provided some details regarding how he and his associates infiltrated the database.
“Upon learning of the breach, Hackread.com promptly reached out to IntelBroker, who confirmed their involvement and provided limited insight into their methods,” the post reads. “According to IntelBroker, they exploited a vulnerability in the airport’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (CRM system) to gain unauthorized access to the database, highlighting the critical need for organizations to strengthen their cybersecurity measures in the face of growing threats from skilled hackers like IntelBroker.”
The leaked database was posted on BreachForums on Feb. 23 and includes:
No customer or traveler data was compromised during the security incident.
LAX authorities have not confirmed any unauthorized access to its database or computer systems.
