Bitdefender GravityZone, the innovative security management solution, proved faster and lighter on users’ systems than all competitors in April testing under industry benchmark Login VSI.
Testing placed GravityZone SVE v6's response latency at 2,845.75 milliseconds, only 260 milliseconds behind a system with no security at all and handily beating competitors including Kaspersky, McAfee and Symantec.
In testing under real-world conditions, conducted by taking the system to near overload to simulate peak work periods, GravityZone had less than half the latency impact of competitor Kaspersky Light Agent 3.1.0 and used approximately three times less computing power.
GravityZone registered a computing power load of 6%, compared with 23% of Kaspersky Light Agent 3.1.0, 16% of Symantec Data Center Security 6.0 and 14% of McAfee Move Agentless. GravityZone’s latency impact of 10% beat Kaspersky Light Agent, with 23%, Symantec Data Center Security 6.0, with 33% and McAfee Move Agentless, with 16%.
"We set out to enhance efficiency for the business user, with the lightest impact possible on computing power and minimal latency," said Bitdefender Chief Security Strategist Catalin Cosoi. "Testing confirms we achieved our goal, while offering the iron-clad protection that Bitdefender is known for."
