Elite antivirus wins four stars for Bitdefender Internet Security 2013

Bitdefender®, the award-winning provider of innovative antivirus solutions, won four stars from leading computer magazine PC Mag in a review that highlighted “excellent results in antivirus lab tests,” as well as  “accurate anti-spam,” a “quiet firewall,” and more.

The praise for Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 comes after the magazine awarded its prestigious Editor’s Choice distinction for commercial antivirus protection to Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013, and gave four stars to Bitdefender Total Security 2013 in a review in July.

“Bitdefender falls in the camp of those that put as much protection as possible in the entry-level antivirus and then add even more to the full security suite,” read the PC Mag review. “With Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 you get everything but the kitchen sink.”

PC Mag reviewer Neil J. Rubenking added praise for another Bitdefender product as well in the three-page review: “Want the kitchen sink too? Bitdefender Total Security 2013 adds extras including online backup, PC tuneup, encryption, and anti-theft.”

The review concluded that “Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 includes everything found in the company's feature-rich antivirus and adds a no-hassle firewall, accurate spam filter, and cloud-based parental control.”

The antivirus technology in Bitdefender 2013 products, launched in July, beats the stiffest competition in the world – the elite performance of Bitdefender 2012. Last year’s generation of products won the coveted Best Protection 2011 Award for home users by AV-TEST after coming out No. 1 in five straight industry-wide tests through the year.
