Bitdefender adds one of the most prestigious IT&C awards to its long list of accolades from top industry reviewers.
BitDefender®, an award-winning provider of innovative antivirus solutions, today announced that its flagship internet security solution, Bitdefender Total Security 2012, won this year’s Editor’s Choice award from Cnet, one of the world’s top technology portals.
Bitdefender Total Security 2012 triumphed in the paid security software category, prevailing over significant competitors’ solutions, such as Norton Internet Security 2012, McAfee Total Protection 2012, Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 or ESET Smart Security 5.
“In the paid suite category, we decided on Bitdefender Total Security 2012 (download) for its top-rated security, its low impact on your computer's performance, and its excellent range of features. Bitdefender started strong out of the gate, and although some came close, notably Norton and F-Secure, Bitdefender posted an impressive set of benchmarks that kept it ahead”, stated Sett Rosenblatt, Cnet senior editor.
Cnet is one of the most prominent technology portals with a global reach of more than 90 million unique visitors. The portal’s “Reviews” section covers a wide range of consumer products, from cars to home appliances, gadgets or software and it boasts a readership of over 5.6 million people worldwide.
”Total Security 2012 is a turning point in the history of Bitdefender consumer solutions. Last year, we chose to go in a radically different direction and this award comes as a confirmation that we made the right choices. The Cnet accolade stands as proof of our technologies’ efficiency and that the Bitdefender strategy is in line with market demands and industry trends,” said Bitdefender CTO Bogdan Dumitru.
