The FBI issued an official statement denying knowledge about a breached laptop that lead AntiSec to millions of iOS UDIDs. The bureau also claims never to have gathered the information in the first place.
From the 12 million iOS device user details allegedly stored on the laptop, the Anonymous group published only 1 million records to prove their authenticity.
“The FBI is aware of published reports alleging that an FBI laptop was compromised and private data regarding Apple UDIDs was exposed,” said an FBI spokesperson. “At this time there is no evidence indicating that an FBI laptop was compromised or that the FBI either sought or obtained this data.“
The official Anonymous Twitter account responded to the FBI statement, saying the bureau could either be lying or that AntiSec was deliberately fed the information. The file entitled “NCFTA_iOS_Devices_intel.csv,” which is said to contain the 12 million UDID`s, has other personal information deliberately trimmed out by AntiSec in their leak.
FBI says there was no hack. That means either they’re lying or they *gave* the information up to someone in #antisec. It’s happened before.

Although the document seems to involve Christopher K. Stangl from the bureau`s Regional Cyber Action Team and the New York FBI office`s Evidence Response Team, its validity still remains in question.
