Hackers allegedly managed to breach Chelsea`s USA Megastore and replace one of their baby outfits with an Arsenal onesie, according to Softpedia. Chelsea fans were surprised by the prank that was rapidly removed by the site`s administrators.
Supporters of the British football club rushed into blaming the hackers for exploiting a presumed vulnerability on the website. The description posted next to the image showing the $16.99 onesie with Arsenal`s logo mentioned “The Gunners,” the club`s nickname.
“The [sic] have won 13 First Division and Premier League titles and 10 FA Cups. They are your Gunners. show your support in this cool, unique tee. 100% cotton tee with a tagless design for added comfort,” the description read, according to Softpedia.
For fans in North America, the Chelsea gear is offered online via privately-owned sports company Sports Endeavors. The organization manages several e-commerce, news, information and community websites.
HotForSecurity contacted Chelsea Megastore USA and will update the story as soon as they send a statement regarding the alleged hacking attack.
