BEST deployment errors on Linux machine

Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools deployment tasks might encounter different errors while executing. Another common reason for failed deployment tasks is networking-related misconfigurations.

To fix this issue, make sure that:

  • You have established an active connection between the target machine and the Relay or the GravityZone Control Center. For more information about communication ports, refer to GravityZone (cloud) communication ports.

  • The user has permission to write in the location where the agent installs.

  • The target endpoint has enough free HDD space.

The user must have write permissions for the installation location.

Check in the Supported operating systems > Linux section of the Endpoint protection page if your Linux distribution is among the supported operating systems.

Wait for the installation to finish or delete setup directory.

The installer.xml required for installation was not copied to the target machines due to restrictions. Verify the firewall filters and ensure the user account has sufficient permissions to perform the operation.

The installation process fails because the Central Scan option was selected upon creating the packages and no Security Server was selected or installed.

For a successful installation, change the scan mode to Local, or add a Security Server.
