Notification Configuration

From the Notification Configuration page, you can set up specific rules that allow you to receive notifications when specific findings are found after automatic scans. You can set up notifications either through integrated third party apps, or through email.

To access the page, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Settings button on the upper right side of the console.

  2. Select Notification Configuration.

On the this page, you have access to the following:

  1. Guide to create a notification rule - Click this link to open existing documentation related to notification rules.

  2. Create new notification rule - You can use this button to start the process of configuring a new notification rule.

  3. Existing rules - This table contains a list of all existing notification rules and includes the following information:

    • Notification rule name - The name of the rule.

    • Notification type - Email, Slack, Webhook

    • Number of scan groups - The number of scan groups that the rule applies to

    • Description - The description assigned to the rule.

Configuring a new notification

To configure a new notification, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Create new notification rule button on the upper right side of the page.

    A side panel is displayed.

  2. Configure the settings under the basics area:

    • Notification rule name - Enter a descriptive and unique name for the rule.

    • Scan group - Select the scan groups you want the rule to apply to.

      Note

      Multiple rules can apply to any specific scan group.

    • Description - Enter a clear description for the rule.

  3. Configure the settings under the Rule conditions area:

    • Finding severity - You will receive notifications only for findings that have the selected severity.

  4. Enable one or more of the notification types available under the Notification channels sections:

    • Email - After enabling, enter the list of email addresses you want to send the notification to, and the specific time you want them to be sent.

      Note

      You can separate the email addresses in the list by commas or by space.

    • Instant notification - After enabling, select from the available destinations or configure a new one.

  5. Click Save changes.

Editing a notification rule

To edit a notification rule, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Edit rule button on the right side of the table:

    The Edit notification rule side panel is displayed.

  2. Make the changes you want.

  3. Click the Save changes button on the lower right side of the panel.

Deleting a notification rule

To delete a notification rule, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Edit rule button on the right side of the table:

    The Edit notification rule side panel is displayed.

  2. Click the Delete button on the lower left side of the panel.
