Company management and provisioning guide for MSP partners

Working with managed companies

You can view all managed company accounts in the Companies page, together with information regarding the company, products used, and licensing. The information is displayed under multiple columns.

Additionally, you can perform the following actions:

Editing companies

To edit a company account, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to GravityZone Control Center.

  2. Go to the Companies page from the left side menu.

  3. Click on the name of the company you want to edit.

    The Edit Company window is be displayed. The information is organized into three tabs:

  4. In each tab, make the changes you want and Save. You need to save your changes before switching between tabs.

    Note

    If the selected company has not enabled the The Company's Partner can assist with the security management option, you will not able to modify specific settings and information.

  5. Close the Edit company window by clicking the X button on the upper right side of the screen.

Suspending and reactivating companies

If you are no longer doing business with a company, you can suspend their account. If that company has child accounts, you have the option to suspend them at the same time.

Suspending only one company account will not automatically affect the accounts created from the suspended account. Those accounts will continue to work as before.

Choosing to suspend a company account together with its child accounts will render all those accounts unavailable.

Suspending a company has the following consequences:

  • The company users cannot log in to BitdefenderControl Center

  • The endpoints directly managed by the suspended company are expired.

    Note

    Only the endpoints that have been protected with the Bitdefender security agent installed from a kit specifically created for the suspended company are expired.

    Bitdefender security agent is not uninstalled from the expired endpoints. Once the company is reactivated, all expired endpoints will be automatically registered.

When reactivating a company account, you have the option to activate all its child accounts at the same time.

Suspending a company

To suspend a company account:

  1. Log in to GravityZone Control Center.

  2. Go to the Companies page from the left side menu.

  3. Select the company account from the list.

  4. Select the More actions menu at the upper side of the table and click Suspend.

  5. To suspend all child accounts under the selected company, including those managed by other child companies, enable the Suspend all companies under this company as well option.

  6. Click OK to confirm. The company account state will change immediately. Users linked to a suspended company will no longer be able to log in.

Reactivating a company

To reactivate a company account:

  1. Log in to GravityZone Control Center.

  2. Go to the Companies page from the left side menu.

  3. Select the suspended company account from the list.

  4. Select the More actions menu at the upper side of the table and click Activate.

  5. To activate all child accounts under the selected company, including those managed by other child companies, enable the Activate all companies under this company as well option.

  6. Click OK to confirm. The company account state will change immediately. Users linked to a reactivated company will be able to log in again to BitdefenderControl Center.

Checking the company status

Each company is represented in the Network page under the Companies section by an icon specific to its type and status, described herein:

  • The icon shape informs you of the company account type:

  • Blue color shows who manages network security:

    The Partner manages the company's network security.

  • The cross sign informs of the company account status:

  • The exclamation mark informs you of the security issues in the company'snetwork:

For example, from a quick view, the customer_suspended.png icon informs you that the company is a customer who self manages its network security and the account is suspended.

Deleting companies

Delete company accounts when they are no longer needed. For example, if a company no longer uses Bitdefender protection or a partnership ends.

To delete an account:

  1. Log in to Control Center.

  2. Go to the Companies page from the left side menu.

  3. Select the companies you want to delete.

  4. Click the Delete button above the table.

  5. Click Delete to confirm. The company account, its linked user accounts and its license keys are deleted from the database.

    Note

    You cannot delete partner companies with subordinate company accounts.
