Network Attack Defense and Risk Management

GravityZone Network Attack Defense and Risk Management strengthens your defenses by stopping threats before they can spread and proactively addressing vulnerabilities, providing an extra layer of protection.

The product is available as an add-on, which, when added to your company is listed next to your main license.

The product gives your company access to the following benefits:

Comprehensive Threat Prevention: Inspects incoming, outgoing, and lateral network traffic to protect against attacks like brute force attempts, port scans, password theft, and unauthorized lateral movements.
Comprehensive Risk Visibility: Provides a comprehensive view of the organization's attack surface, including endpoint misconfigurations, application vulnerabilities, and user-related risks.
Centralized Management: Integrates seamlessly with Bitdefender GravityZone platform for centralized management, working automatically in the background.

Start the trial

To start the trial, follow the steps below:

Log in to GravityZone with your administrator account.
Click the button on the upper right side of the console to access the Products hub page.
Select Learn more under the Network Attack Defense and Risk Management section.
Select Start free trial.

The add-on will be added to your company's list of licenses as a separate product. You will be redirected the home page where you will see the new sections in GravityZone available to you.

Configure and install the new features

Important

We recommend trying out the new features on a limited set of endpoints. This is most easily done by creating a new policy and applying it to the endpoints selected for testing.

To start using these new features, follow the steps below:

Preparing and deploying policies

Log in to GravityZone Control Center.
Go to the Policies page from the left side menu.
You can either:
- Create a new policy.
- Edit one of your existing policies.
Under Network attacks > Network Attack Defense, enable and configure the module.
Go to the Risk Management page, and configure the module.
Save your policy.
If you created a new policy, apply it to the endpoints you want to test it on.
If you edited an existing policy, the changes will take place on all endpoints it was applied to.

This will allow you to enable the newly available features on all selected endpoints.

Test out the new features

You can use this feature to protect your network against specific network attack techniques, such as Initial Access, Block Credential Access, Block Discovery, Block Lateral Movement, or Block Crimeware.

You can configure the feature to take one of two actions once such an attack is detected:

Block - Network Attack Defense stops the attack attempt once detected.
Report Only - Network Attack Defense informs you about the detected attack attempt, but it will not try to stop it.

Stop the trial

To stop the trial, follow the steps below:

Log in to GravityZone with your administrator account.
Click the button on the upper right side of the console to access the Products hub page.
Select Learn more under the Network Attack Defense and Risk Management section.
Select Stop trial.

Your company's licensing will revert to the previous state and all additional features will be disabled.
